Privacy & Cookie Notice

Plain-language details about the small amount of information involved in visiting our independent confectionery editorial guide.

A short, friendly overview

Sugarloom Journal is an editorial publication about artisanal candies, lollipops, flavor culture, and confectionery craft. We aim to keep the site simple. This notice explains what can happen when you browse our pages or contact our editorial team.

The quick version: this static site does not ask you to create an account, buy anything, submit a form, or provide payment details. We do not run third-party advertising scripts or social-media widgets on this site.

Information we handle

When you visit, your browser may automatically make technical information available as part of normal web delivery, such as device and browser characteristics, the page requested, and generalized log information maintained by the hosting environment. Sugarloom Journal does not use that information to build individual advertising profiles.

If you choose to email us at hello.sugarloomjournal@gmail.com, we receive the email address, name, and message you voluntarily send. We use those details only to read, respond to, and manage the editorial inquiry. Please do not send sensitive personal information in an email.

Cookies and local storage

Our cookie notice uses one local browser storage preference named sugarloom-cookie-choice. It remembers that you selected “Got it, sweet,” so the notice does not reappear each time you move between pages. It is a functional preference, not an advertising tracker.

No third-party cookies are intentionally loaded by the Sugarloom Journal pages. You can remove local storage through your browser settings at any time; doing so may cause the notice to appear again.

Your choices and retention

  • You can browse the publication without submitting information.
  • You can clear the local cookie-notice preference using your browser controls.
  • You can ask us about an editorial email you sent, or ask that we delete it where applicable, by contacting the address below.
  • We retain correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary for the editorial conversation, recordkeeping, or legal obligations.
